At Honpo, we hold over 3000 rolls of wallpaper in stock at any given moment! To date, we are the only wallpaper shop to stock these many designs and quantity. Most other shops do not hold any stock at all.

The reason for us to take on this extra inventory risk is simply because we want our customers to see and feel the products in person as well as to give them the easiest and fastest shopping experience!

About our wallpapers

There are mainly 3 types of wallpaper that are most widely used due to their excellent quality and pricing. These 3 being European, Japanese and Korean wallpapers.

At Honpo, we carry all 3 as we believe each different type have benefits that some individuals may need. In terms of pricing and overall Quality. European Paper comes first followed by the Japanese Wallpaper and then Korean Wallpaper.

European Wallpaper

What makes European wallpaper different from their fellows is mainly material and design. European wallpapers are manufactured with non-woven material and as such is easy to stick and remove, causing zero damage. Non-woven material is also breathable preventing fungus and mould growth.

Design-wise, European Wallpapers are bolder with more vibrant colours and intricate designs. You can easily find designs like marble, Damask, Oriental, Scandinavian, Botanical, Morrocan.

Japanese wallpaper

Unlike European wallpaper, both Japanese and Korean wallpaper are made from PVC and paperback materials. These material are cheaper than non-woven materials and as such comes with fewer features. However, Japanese wallpaper is specially treated to weather rain or storm and are made with commercialism in mind, therefore, they tend to have many premium features yet are priced competitively.

This is not surprising due to the widespread usage of wallpaper in Japan, from homes to restaurants to offices. You will be hard-pressed to find a building without a single wallpaper design. In short, Japanese wallpaper is a strong value pick. They are beautiful, durable and have important features like anti-bacterial, anti-fungus, water repellant and much more!

If you are a modern-day urbanite wishing to live comfortably, The Japanese wallpaper will be ideal for you!

Korean Wallpaper

Korean wallpaper is the most affordable in this roundup but this does not mean they are bad quality. Korean wallpapers like Japanese wallpaper are made from PVC and paper but they are usually thinner and a little less durable.

With that said, they are coated with special solutions giving these wallpaper the same benefits as Japanese wallpaper.

For mid-term usage, Korean wallpaper is ideal. They also have many monochromatic designs as well as various pattern designs like gold stripes or marble!
