Industrial interior design takes inspiration from factories built during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, in the industrial revolution. These buildings comprised of brick, concrete, iron, and steel, which are designed to last for years. These large, uncluttered spaces were focused on fitting more personel to accomplish more work.
It is about proudly displaying raw finishings that many try to conceal, giving it an unfinished look to the most thoughtfully designed homes. Some may even say, 'function over style'.
