Eso Studio is a women’s trio design studio based in Michigan, USA. “Eso” means “in” in Greek. The design contains the “connection with the natural world” shared by mankind.
The three people with backgrounds in the interior industry and textile design have developed relationships from colleagues, friends, and business partners. The desire to combine environmentally friendly natural dye art with handmade processes and interior design connects many people.
From Hand-Dyed Textile Design into Eco-Friendly Wallpaper
Eso Studio is based on creative activities focused on sustainability.
“It started in 2017. We will pick up vegetables and their skins discarded from Hannah’s parents’ house, which runs a restaurant, as well as unsold plants at the flower shop, and start trying to create textiles by dyeing. In the first few years, I was making scarves hand-dyed with natural dyes, but I started to feel more possibilities in this design.”
“Textiles created from dyeing are art, science, and magic.”
That’s what they say.
They scanned the fabric in high quality, added repeat patterns (repeat pattern), and created wallpaper. Inspired by nature, the wallpaper brings the energy of peace to the living space. With that in mind, Eso Studio shifted its activities to the production of wallpaper and interior items in earnest.
